Firewall Security Maintenance $140 per Year

We monitor your website firewall to maintain the highest level of website security. Each week we check the integrity of the firewall and deal with any security exceptions on a daily basis. We make a full website backup of your site on a monthly basis and hold that backup file on our secure system. The cost for this maintenance service is payable on the 1st of January each year. If you elect to maintain the security system yourself and require assistance then our standard maintenance cost per hour of $38 would apply.

I would like to stress that maintenance of the security firewall is not that difficult. It differs from website maintenance in the frequency that is required. To maintain your website you only need to login to the administration area when you want to make a change. These changes maybe days, weeks or even months apart, depending on your website. With the firewall maintenance you need to act on it on a weekly basis and make a full site backup, at a minimum of once a month.

These tasks are not difficult to perform and are covered with video tutorials in our members area. You simply need to put aside 5 to 15 minutes per week to login to the administration area and act on any security exceptions that have been recorded and perform a full site backup once a month. You will need to have a File Transfer Protocol (FTP) program installed on your computer which again is completely covered in our members area. We show you how to operate the program, where to download it from, and by the way the program is free. It is also one of the most popular FTP programs available and very easy to use.

There is one point that needs to be made here. No system in the world is completely secure. If a hacker really, really wants to get into your website then eventually they will. However they would want a good reason to do so as they will have to devote a large amount of time and energy to crack your website and get through the firewall. The rewards for hacking your site would need to be comparable to the effort they would need to put into it. In almost all cases, what they would gain would be insignificant compared to the time and energy needed to crack your site.
